His Thousand Hills
In Need Of Help

Dear
Friends,
Since 1986 North Country Baptist Camps have been held at His Thousand Hills near Wellsboro, Pa. It has been a great partnership as our friends at HTH have done their utmost to give us great service and worked with us to reserve the dates we have requested. The camp has seen many, many improvements since we made our first visit there. It has been a perfect site for us and many lives have forever been changed by the camping experiences we have had.
Right now HTH is facing a large financial strain. So large that the future of the camp could be in question. Without HTH the future of North Country Camps could also be in jeopardy. The staff at HTH has always done their best to keep the prices they charge as low as possible. Now with rising costs for heat and electricity, (and everything else), the maintenance of the property is proving to be a major challenge. Also, there are many repairs that are needed before the next camping season.
The number of lives that have been affected by camping experiences at HTH is impossible to calculate. We who are involved with North Country know that our own program is being blessed and growing stronger than it has ever been. And there are groups besides our own that are growing and also depend on HTH. There is such a hunger among our youth for a place such as HTH, one that they can return to year after year to have their faith strengthened and renewed. Having such a place reassures them that God’s love is something they can count on in this chaotic world of confusing values and mixed messages. We have asked our campers to tell you themselves about what this special place has meant to them.
Here are some samples of what they said -
-
awesome. It (camp) made me think wow– look at all of the people that are really cool and are Christians! Timmerie -15
-
I accepted Christ into my heart there; I found an invincible love that will never let me go. Eileen -17

It has changed my life in so many ways….I wouldn’t be the person I am today without His Thousand Hills. Cindy - 17
-
I decided to take my faith seriously and feel comfortable talking about it. Christopher - 16
-
I thank God for HTH every day and without it I don’t know where I would be. Alicia - 19
-
Camp has been the best thing in my life for quite some time…It shows you that most undeniably – God is real. Matt – 16
Please be in prayer for the future of HTH and the ministries that are held there. Please pray about what you may have to offer to help keep the camp alive, whether it is financial help or help with work projects. We strongly feel that God’s work at HTH should not be allowed to come to an end.
Sincerely for The Kingdom,
North Country Board -
